Stephanie Smith Cooney, Pharm.D.

Stephanie Smith Cooney joined Express Scripts by Evernorth in 2023 to establish the Office of Independent Pharmacy Affairs.

In her role, Stephanie maintains working relationships with leading independent pharmacists across the country and identifies areas across Evernorth where innovation and collaboration are aligned to bring forth new opportunities for the independent pharmacy community. Prior to joining Evernorth, Stephanie owned and operated an independent pharmacy in a small town of western Pennsylvania for 15 years. Throughout her career, she has worked to advance the value that independent pharmacies bring to their patients and the communities they serve, enabling pharmacists to fully express their value to the health care system.

Stephanie holds a doctorate in pharmacy from the Nesbitt School of Pharmacy at Wilkes University and remains a registered pharmacist in Pennsylvania.
