Infertility affects about 1 in 6 people of reproductive age worldwide1. For those who pursue treatment, fertility care can be an emotionally complex, time-sensitive journey. A delayed medication, an unresolved prior authorization, or uncertainty around a first injection can disrupt a treatment cycle that took months to prepare for.

Despite the critical precision of fertility medications, the pharmacy piece of fertility care has historically been treated as a transaction: a prescription written, a medication shipped, and the rest left for the patient to navigate.

Patients and providers need a more integrated pharmacy experience—one that connects medication access, specialized support, and education throughout treatment.

To deliver that coordination at greater scale, Freedom Fertility and VFP Pharmacy Group are coming together as Evernorth Freedom Pharmacy, part of Evernorth Health Services. You will begin to see the Evernorth Freedom Pharmacy name across communications as the pharmacies prepare to transition in early 2027.

Fertility pharmacy requires more than medication fulfillment; it calls for specialized expertise, personalized support and reliable access to therapies throughout a patient’s care journey. Yet among the more than 57,000 pharmacies in the United States, only about 125 specialize in infertility2.

Together, Evernorth fertility pharmacies bring the specialized capabilities that will define Evernorth Freedom Pharmacy. Advanced fulfillment technology, inventory planning aligned with time-sensitive treatment needs, strong manufacturer relationships and specialized cold-chain shipping capabilities help support timely medication access, reduce delays and maintain the integrity of temperature-sensitive therapies throughout delivery.

Fertility pharmacy support at every step

A robust network of clinical and operational experts supports every treatment plan to help patients receive the medications and guidance they need, when they need them. See how Evernorth fertility pharmacies help providers and patients.

These comprehensive services are especially important when timelines are tight. A patient starting a stimulation cycle may need medication and associated supplies within 24 to 48 hours. In 2025, half of patients served by Evernorth fertility pharmacies required next-day or same-day service, and those pharmacies completed 2,000 same-day deliveries to help keep treatment moving3.

“Behind every fertility prescription is a person or family working toward an important goal. Our role is to help ensure they can focus on treatment and their future rather than worrying about access to medications, affordability concerns, or where to turn for support.” —Travis Behrens, President Evernorth fertility pharmacies

Personalized fertility pharmacy support for each patient

Affordability can create another layer of stress. While fertility coverage continues to expand, many individuals still have limited or no access to fertility benefits. Evernorth fertility pharmacies help connect patients to affordability programs, including their current participation in TrumpRx, which provides access to eligible EMD Serono fertility medications.

In 2025, Evernorth fertility pharmacies helped self-pay patients save nearly $200 million through manufacturer discount programs and cost-savings navigation3.

Evernorth fertility pharmacies have active partnerships with leading fertility benefit organizations, including Progyny, Maven, Carrot and WIN Fertility, to support patients more holistically. These relationships across the fertility ecosystem help connect pharmacy services, benefit resources and patient support within a more coordinated experience.

Timely access is essential, but specialized fertility pharmacy support continues after delivery. Benefits verification, prior authorization, and injection education can be coordinated within a single experience, helping patients navigate time-sensitive treatment while clinics stay focused on care4.

Licensed to dispense and ship medications to all 50 states, Evernorth fertility pharmacies support patients with fertility-trained pharmacists available seven days a week, including extended hours and 24/7 on-call support4 5. Patients can also access the Freedom MedTEACH® injection-training video library at any time or schedule one-to-one virtual training after receiving their medication.

As Freedom Fertility and VFP Pharmacy Group transition to Evernorth Freedom Pharmacy in early 2027, providers may see both current and new names across communications and digital experiences. Throughout the transition and beyond, providers can continue to rely on the same dedicated teams, familiar contacts, and fertility expertise they know today.

Fertility care will always be personal. The pharmacy supporting it should be too. To learn more about Evernorth Freedom Pharmacy and the transition, visit evernorth.com/freedom-pharmacy.
