Throughout the months of November and December, Evernorth Care Group is hosting a series of Medicare 101 seminars at three of our center locations. The seminars are free to join and offer an opportunity to talk to an expert about any Medicare benefits and coverage questions you may have.

What is the difference between Medicare Part A, B, C and D?
- Part A provides inpatient hospital coverage
- Part B provides outpatient medical coverage

What is included in Original Medicare (Part A & B) coverage?
- Part A hospital insurance covers services like inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing, hospice, lab tests, surgery and home health care.
- Part B medical insurance covers primary care services, durable medical equipment, home health care and some preventive screenings.
When is the enrollment period?
In-general, your initial enrollment period starts 3 months before you turn 65 and ends 3 months after the month you turn 65. Be sure to sign up during this 7-month period to avoid a late-enrollment penalty. More information on enrollment periods can be found here.
